It has been event central here at JOY and things have just been absolutely insane. As I catch my breath, I thought I'd give you a heads up on some of the things that are coming up in the next two months:

Feb 1 - Pride March (broadcast)
Feb 6 - Summa Bump Out (Midsumma/JOY event at Rozanne's)
Feb 14 - Book Launch at City Village Rooftop (broadcast)

March 7 - Mardi Gras (broadcast)
March 8 - Chill Out (broadcast)
March 13 - Johnny X CD Launch at City Village Rooftop (broadcast)

Report: JOY Comes of Age

JOY turned 15 in December last year and to mark our coming of age, The Age run a great little story on us. Check it out here.

Meanwhile, to mark our momentous achievement and to celebrate the Midsumma theme of "coming of age" (Midsumma turned 21 this year), we also commissioned a 9 metre timeline of the history of JOY; Revelant Radio For All Ages Through The Ages (pictured being installed by our JOY vollies).

It was a feature of our Midsumma presence at Carnival Day this year and also got a double spread in our magazine Hear (T)Here, the special edition of Hear Here for the gay silly season (Midsumma, Pride, Chill Out, Mardi Gras and MQFF). Get a copy from the station, or see the timeline at the Pride March Parade this coming Sunday February 1.
